Signed But Unencrypted Messages Not Viewable in Browser Email Cients

If I sign and send an unencrypted email to a browser based email client e.g. Hotmail or Office 365 the body does not get displayed in the client.

However in Office 365 it says the message cannot be displayed because “S/MIME isn’t supported in this view” and it gives you the option to view it in a pop up where you can see the email body.

Other emails clients such as Hotmail don’t give you the option to see the email in a S/MIME capable pop up so you can’t see the body.

A Google search says that browser based email clients don’t support S/MIME.

Is there a solution so that signed unencrypted emails are viewable?
