Spaces being ignored

Hey guys, I’ve been tracking a bug that was present on your software prior to the 7.1 release. I originally posted about it in this thread:

Unnecessary spaces in PDF to HTML conversion

Well on the newest release that I’m working with I’m now getting spaces placed at random, it seems, throughout the document. I’m doing the most basic of conversions and I’m still getting the spaces. I’ve attached a copy of the resume I’m using to get the error if you’ll notice the absent of spaces are present in the address section and at the first employment title position.

Thank you for sharing the template file.

I have tested your issue with the latest version of Aspose.Pdf and I am able to reproduce your mentioned issue regarding ignored spaces in the generated file. Your issue has been registered in our issue tracking system with issue id: PDFNEWNET-34040. You will be notified via this forum thread regarding any updates against your reported issue.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Hi Faraji,

Thanks for your patience.

I am pleased to share that the issue reported earlier regarding extra spaces being added during PDF to HTML conversion is resolved and its resolution will be included in upcoming release version of Aspose.Pdf for .NET 7.3.0. Currently this version is under testing and will be released shortly. However during the conversion, I have observed that Underline formatting for heading strings is lost in resultant HTML file. For the sake of correction, I have logged it as PDFNEWNET-34206 in our issue tracking system. As soon as this problem is fixed, we would be more than happy to update you with the status of correction.

Please be patient and spare us little time. We are sorry for this delay and inconvenience.

Hey guys, I’ve posted about this issue a few times and each time I’ve been assured by your development team that the bug has been fixed, but I’m just not seeing an improvement on the output of the PDF to HTML conversions.

Here’s my most recent post about the bug:

Hi Faraji,

I have thoroughly tested this issue again and I am able to notice the problems highlighted in image file. For the sake of correction, I have re-opened the previously logged issue PDFNEWNET-34040 and have intimated the respective developer to further investigate this problem. I still wonder how this issue appeared resolved and was included in v7.3.0 release notes. Please accept our humble apologies and we are sorry for this confusion and inconvenience.

Guys, this is still not fixed. We need support on this. We’ve paid for the component and what’s happening is during the conversion to HTML there are either:

a. spaces between a word. Example: Appli cation Deve lopment
b. no spaces where they should be. Example: ApplicationDevelopment

We are attempting the conversion from a PDF to HTML

Sorry for the delay in response.

Well, I am afraid; the issue PDFNEWNET-34040 is not yet resolved. I have asked the development team to share an ETA regarding the issue. As soon as I get a feedback, I will update you via this forum thread.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

This is still not resolved for us. Our subscription is up for renewal and we have not been able to use this component at all. Your support progress on the issue is incredibly slow, and I’m fairly certain other customers might be having the same issue.

Our needs are very simple, in that we are only trying to convert a PDF formatted document to HTML rendering. We see unnecessary spacing added between words and some spaces removed between word phrases.

Hi Ron,

Please accept our apologies for the delay in resolution of your issue. Our development team is working on your issue but due to some priority support tasks and complexity of issue, this issue had to be postponed and rescheduled.

However, the reported issue is resolved partially in previous release as only address section spaces issue persists. I have raised the issue priority to high and requested resolution ETA from development team and as soon as I get a feedback, I will update you via this forum thread.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.
