We currently have the Sql Server Web Edition 2008 and we found that, even when all installation has gone ok, we do not get the option to export to Powerpoint.
Is there a restriction with this version? We have a serious time-constraint (aren't we always?) so any help will be greatly appreciated...
Custom rendering extensions like Aspose.Slides for Reporting Services supported by SQL Server 2008 Standard, Enterprise and Developer editions. SQL Server 2008 Web edition has very limited reporting services functionality. Please check Compare Editions (http://www.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2008/en/us/editions-compare.aspx) table.
In whole that’s right but I’d say vice versa. Web edition can’t work with ANY rendering extensions. It can export reports to the predefined list of formats only and that list can’t be changed.
