StandardRate calculation

Hello,

I am trying to match the standard rate value with MS project. Basically, I have a project with 8 hours task with single resource assignment to it and with std rate of 50/yearly. Projects time conversation factor is 8 hours per day /20 days a month /40 hours a week. When I save this project as xml and examine the saved value, it is 0.02404. And I am not able to figure out how MS project is calculating this value. I have tried following formulation 50 / ( 82012) = 0.02604. But it is still not close to what MS project value, ultimately, 0.02404 value I need to be able to create correct ms project.

I would appreciate if you guys can provide some direction as to how this would be calculated.

Thanks,
Amit

Hi Amit,

Thanks for using Aspose.Tasks and we are sorry for a delayed response.

From the information you shared, I investigated the calculations and here are my findings:

As you are utilizing 20 Days/month, with a total of 240 days/Year, so it comprises of a total of about 11 months on the calendar, and that is why the factor of 50 reduces to 46.15. Now, if you use this number in your calculations instead of 50, you get exactly 0.02404.

This can be managed by modifying the working calendar such that total working days in a year are 240 instead of about 260. By then, the figure 50 will fit in the calculations as you mentioned in your post.
