Support for Excel 2 Worksheets

Hello,


I am using Aspose.Cells for .NET to open Excel files we receive from various clients. Today I ran across a new file that we must work with that happens to be in MS Excel 2.x format. When trying to open the file using the Aspose.Cells.Workbook.Open(filename) method an exception occurs:

This file’s format is not supported or you don’t specify a correct format.

I understand that the Excel 2.x file format is not currently supported by your product. Would this by any chance be supported in a future version of Aspose.Cells?

Hi,

Well, we only support the Excel formats of 97-2010. We do not support the file format of Excel 95 and older versions. At the moment, we have no plan to support them as we have many important tasks to be implemented for Excel 97-2010. When we plan it, we will let you know about it.
