Text enclosed in HTML characters <> is not being exported to excel

I had an export to excel error message when exporting HTML tag into excel.
I am sharing following examples:

  1. Test
  2. Test1
    • Test *

These texts are displaying on UI as follows:

  1. Test
  2. Test1
  5. Test

When I export into excel, It is exported as below

  1. Test 2) Test13) 4) 5) * Test *
