I installed the free trials version (22.6 msi) of Aspose.cells for reporting services. However when I click on the Open remote Report icon, nothing happens. I am not prompted with the usual dialog box when I can enter my credentials for the SSRS server I am intending to connect to. Could anyone help me?
It seems you have not installed Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services properly or it is due to your environment. See the documents in the section on how to install Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services for your complete reference.
If you still could not evaluate it, kindly share your environment details, e.g., OS and version, MS Excel version, MS SQL Server with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services version, .NET Framework version, etc. We will check it soon.
Can you detail further on how did you installed the trial version? It may be an installation issue and could be easily fix.
Can you provide the environment details and how you tried to installed the trial version.
Hi,
Here are the details your requested:
OS: Windows 10 Entreprise
MS Excel 2016
SSRS 14.0.600.744
We have already a single developer version of Aspose 21.6 running running in our system. we would like to add another developer. This is why we are trying to install for testing purposes a free trials version of Aspose 22.6 on an other machine. The installation went apparently well but when we tried to open a report on the server by clicking on the “open remote report” icon, we are not prompted with a dialog box allowing us to enter the connection information.
Best Regards,
Sungani
@ssamo,
We have tested it on our PC, and it is OK.
Our test environment:
Office 365 32bit
Windows 10 Pro x64
Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices_22.6.msi
Please check Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices.log which is in the Aspose Cells Reporting Services installation folder.
If you no find Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices.log, Please check
the right to read/write about Aspose.Cells Reporting Services installation folder.

Hi,
Whenever Clicking on the “Open Remote Report” icon, I am prompted the following message:
image.png (2.7 KB)
Automation error… The system ban not find the specified file.
I guess it is the license file that the system is looking for whereas I installed a license free version.
Best Regards,
Sungani
If your MS Office 2016 is 64bit, please try Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services x64.
If your MS Office 2016 is 32bit, please try Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services.
Dear Wangtao,
I manage to make it work by launching Excel with my ADMIN account. I have nevertheless an other question. is it possible to run two single developer aspose licenses concurrently?
Best Regards,
Sungani
@ssamo,
When Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services have found a valid license file, it will stop checking other license files.
Dear Wangtao,
I didn’t get your point. What do you mean by “stop checking other license files”? Does it mean once Aspose found a valid license, the developers other than the one holding the license have free entrance to either publish or preview reports.
Best Regards,
Sungani
Dear Wangtao,
Or Should I undestand that once a license is found, other licenses can not run concurrently to this latter?
We have already a single developer license running in our system. We would like to add an other developer? Could you please advise us?
Best Regards,
Sungani
We meant if Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services found a valid license it will stop to authenticate for licensing and will not check further for other Aspose.Cells for RS license files (if exists).
Please post your licensing queries in Aspose.Purchase section and one of our sales staff member will assist you soon there.
Hi Amjad_Sahi,
I am prompted with the following error message each time I try to run a report with the free trials version:

The same report works with the license version of our aspose infrastructure.
Could you advise please?

Sungani
I think you may request a 30 days temporary license to test/evaluate the Aspose.Cells for RS with full capacity for the time being. Later on you may buy the license.
@ssamo,
Can you post your report definition file here and tell us the process which generated this exception? We will check what caused the exception.
Dear Wangtao,
I don’t think that the issue stems from a specific report since the same report is working with our aspose licensed version. we have this error prompted when we try to run reports with the aspose free trials version.
Best Regards,
Sungani
We will investigate the issue. In the meantime, you may request a 30 days temporary license to test/evaluate the Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services,
I installed the temporary license as per your advise but I am still getting the same error message. I am still not able to preview the reports on my test environment whereas I can run the same reports in my production environment.
Could you help please?
Best Regards,
Sungani
It is strange that it is not working on your test environment and works fine on production server. I think it is configuration issue on your test environment, so you need to debug it fix it. You may compare the test machine Vs. production server, e.g. compare OS, .NET framework, MS Office version, SSRS and version of Aspose.Cells for RS versions, other configurations, etc. and try to match both environments and sort it out.
