The Gradient of the Graphic Is Lost when Converting PPTX to PDF in C#

Hey. I’m a Developer Support Engineer at Cloudinary, and customers have complained that when using gradient texts, the gradient is lost when converting from pptx to pdf.
From what I’ve seen elsewhere on this forum, this has been addressed in tickets (PDFNET-41246, WORDSNET-10187, WORDSNET-21594 to name a few), but the abolity is absent in Cloudinary.

Is there a configuration option we need to add, or a code change we need to make? For reference: Aspose Document Conversion Add-on | Cloudinary

Thanks,
-Danny

@Danny

Can you please provide more details about the specific configuration options or code changes you have tried so far regarding gradient texts in Cloudinary?

Hi @Professionalize.Discourse ,

I’m carrying on the investigation while Danny is away.

So the specific configuration options or code changes are not relevant because I tried the same conversion via Convert any file, save as PDF, Word, HTML, CSV, JPG, HTML, ODS, BMP, PNG, SVG, TIFF, XPS and more. Immediate download, 100% Free Online and saw the same result.

I’ve attached the PPTX and the converted PDF and as you can see the gradient of the letter e is not maintained in the PDF.

When I open the same PPTX using Google slides, the gradient of the e is maintained.

e_colour.zip (296.1 KB)

Can you check why this is?

Thanks,
Thomas
