The renewed license is invalid for the version of Aspose.Words 17.1 used

The company I work for has received a new license file for the contracted component Aspose.Words for .Net, “Aspose.Words.lic”. The problem is that when updating the license in the applications that use this library, an exception is generated at runtime with the message “The license is not valid for this product”.

The current version of the Aspose.Words.DLL library that we use is 17.1
We know that there are more recent versions available, currently going up to 23.4, but trying to replace the DLL version to a higher version in current applications generates other incompatibility issues that make porting unfeasible.

We need to know:

• The applications continue to work correctly despite not having changed the license files. But can we continue to maintain the current licenses without incurring other legal problems, and guaranteeing that they continue to function in the future?

• If we need to refresh the licenses, could you provide us with updated ones that are compatible with version 17.1 of the Aspose.Words DLL?

@Juan26

You actually do not need a new license, you can use your old license with your old version of Aspose.Words perpetually.

Regarding new license. A new license cannot be used with old version of Aspose.Words (pre 17.10.0 version). The licensing mechanism has been improved after 17.10 version and new licenses no longer work with old versions of Aspose.Words. You should use your old license with the old version of Aspose.Words and new license with the new version.
