Office 2007 is done and I’m just curious if we can get a status report on how the work on supporting the all new XML file formats is coming along? I remember reading somewhere that you intend to support it.
Cheers,
Rickard
Hello Rickard,
Support for pptx format is in development just now. It should be ready in January.
Music to my ears! Thanks.
How are things progressing with this? Also, could you give any details on how it will work? Will it be transparent in that it will be possible to e.g. clone slides from a presentation using the old format into a presentation using the new file format?
Actually, pptx format is in early stage yet but I hope we can release something soon.
First release will work separately with ppt and pptx. Transparent reading ppt as pptx
will be available little later. Also we don’t have planes to write back conversion
pptx -> ppt in the nearest future.
I don’t want to nag, but are there any news on this? Can we perhaps get a rough estimate when it will be available?
Dear Rickard Andersson,
Thank you for your interest in Aspose.Slides.
First version of Aspose.Slides supporting PP2007 file format, will be released somewhere close to May and full support of it will be completed at the end of summer.
Are you guys still on for a “close to May” initial release?
May is here. When can we see 2007 support?
Release will be little delayed. It’s moved to June.
As soon as first beta version will be ready we could publish it for testing.
Is there any word on support for pptx?
I've been unable to find any information on it other than this thread.
Thanks,
RWD
