We installed the trial version of Aspose. However, when we run a report on the server the options to export to the Aspose formats are not there.
Thanks for the query.
Which Aspose.Cells API you are using or have installed? Do you use Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services? Please elaborate with environment details (OS, .NET framework version, etc.), so we will assist you accordingly.
Aspose Cells from Reporting Services 19.5. Windows. .NET Framework 4…7.1
Using on SQL SERVER 2016
Please note:
- Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices.MSI is developed based on .NET Framework 3.5 (which includes 2.0 or 3.0). So, you also need to install .NET Framework 3.5 (which includes 2.0 or 3.0).
- Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices.DLL is deployed in ${MS SQL Reporting Services}\ReportServer\bin folder when you install using its MSI Installer (Aspose.Cells for RS v19.5). And, these two configuration files (i.e., rsreportserver.config and rssrvpolicy.config) need to be updated.
In short, we need to check .NET Framework version and access rights. So, do as directed and hopefully your issue will be sorted out.
If you still find the issue, kindly do the needful as following:
- Could you provide us the two files, i.e., rssrvpolicy.config and rsreportserver.config resided on the SQL Server installation folder (the files should be in the SQL Server reporting services installation directory on the server, e.g ".\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.x\Reporting Services\ReportServer"). Moreover, see the document (especially XML code/contents) on what changes should be there in these files: Using DLL Only|Documentation
- Also, check and provide us reporting service log file(s) to evaluate your issue.

– rssrvpolicy.config
It looks like you are still facing the issue. Please zip the two files, i.e., rssrvpolicy.config and rsreportserver.config resided on the SQL Server installation folder (the files should be in the SQL Server reporting services installation directory on the server, e.g “.\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.x\Reporting Services\ReportServer”) and attach here.
Also, check and provide us reporting service log file(s) to evaluate your issue precisely.
