We have had a web app that uses Aspose pdf and word; it has been working fine on two web servers for over 10 years; we added two more to the web farm and on and off some times one of these new one works good and does not display the trial message, and some times it is the other server - no changes have been done to the code, and it is always just the two new servers where this issue is observed randomly. We have sync’ed all the files (dlls and lic) the whole site multiple times. In one instance, installing Visual Studio solved issue on one of the new servers for a few weeks and it started showing the trial message again. What should we be looking for? PS: we do not use app initialization with licenses in application_start or invoke in there, we initialize it on a page before using this object - again the first two servers have been working fine with the same application. There has to be something missing on these new servers. Any insight or ideas?
We are afraid that we cannot comment enough on this situation as different factors can cause such issue. As you already mentioned that you are not initializing the license in application_start() method which can be one of the reason too. If you are using multi-threading somewhere in the code, that may also cause this issue. Nevertheless, can you please try to provide some more information which can help us in observing the same issue in our environment. We will surely try to replicate and investigate the case and address it accordingly.
