Type of EMF supported in PDF

Hi,
do I need to create EMF images for a specific format (GDI, GDI+) for them to work with PDF (Words 6.0 engine).
I have reported some issues with EMF files in PDF here before and I would like to know the priority on those, or if I should just convert all vector images to raster before PDF processing (won’t look as good)

Hi
Thanks for your request. There are three types of EMF:
EMF – Contains only GDI commands
EMF+ - Contains only GDI+ commands
EMFdual – Contains both GDI and GDI+ commands.
Currently EMF and EMFdual are supported. So please use EMF (with GDI commands).
Regarding the issue, you reported earlier, it is unresolved yet. But we will further improve export of metafiles to PDF.
I also created new feature request #7178 in our defect database.
Issue #7178 - Add option that specifies whether metafiles should be exported as raster or as vector images to PDF.
I think this could be useful for you. I will notify you as soon as such option is added.
Best regards.

Thanks,
until the problmes with the EMF images are resolved such a feature would be very useful.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-2007) have been fixed in this .NET update and in this Java update.
