Unable to open PDF with File Attachment encryption

Hi guys,

We’re not able to open a PDF that has the following security applied:

  • 128 bit AES encryption on file attachments only
  • open password only

When a document object is constructed, an exception is thrown. See sample code.pdf-file-attachment-bug.zip (27.8 KB)

Would you please share the open password of the PDF document which you have shared, as we could not find it in the shared file(s). We will test the scenario in our environment and respond you accordingly.

The password is in the source code. [TestCase(…)]

Thanks for highlighting the password in source code and apologies for the misunderstanding.

We have tested the scenario in our environment and observed that API was throwing an Exception, while Document initialization. However for the sake of detailed investigation, we have logged a ticket as PDFNET-43013 against the issue, in our issue tracking system.

We will further investigate the reasons behind this issue and keep you posted with the status of its correction. Please be patient and spare us little time.
