Upgrade Aspose.Words

Hello,
I recently upgraded to the newer version of Aspose.Words(8.2). The production version uses Aspose.Words(4.2.6). I use Aspose.Words and Aspose.PDF to create the PDF document.

  1. What are the risks associated with using the newer version?

  2. How can I easily use the newer version, my Aspose DLLs are not GACed. Will I have to recompile my code to use the latest version, or can I directly copy the newer version. Are there any easy solutions?

Thanks for your request. There were some breaking changes in API. But, I think you should not have troubles with updating your code. Usually, these changes are minor and all these changes are described in the release notes, and it will not take a lot of time and efforts to change your code and recompile your application.
