Using Aspose.Words for C++ in Linux | Word Document Processing API to Enumerate over File Content

Does Aspose.Words(C++) works under Linux?

Please note that Aspose.Words for C++ is fully supported for C++ applications developed on the Windows platform.

Thanks for your reply. So Aspose.Word for C++ now only support windows,and I can’t use it to deploy the program to the linux server?

Currently, Aspose.Words for C++ API only supports Microsoft Windows. We will add support for Linux and macOS (and iOS) platforms in future. Your thread has been linked to appropriate issue WORDSCPP-865 and you will be notified as soon as it is supported.

Please elaborate your requirement a bit further and share what exact Linux distributions, platforms, compiler version and C++ standard library do you want Aspose.Words for C++ API to support?

  • Examples of Linux distributions: Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04, Fedora, etc
  • Examples of platforms: x64, arm, arm64, etc.
  • Examples of compiler version and C++ standard library: gcc 6.4.0, clang 3.9, libstdc++ and/or libc++

Please upgrade to the latest (20.9) version of Aspose.Words for C++ API that now supports Linux operating system and the following minimum compilers:

  • GCC 6.3 or higher on x86_x64
  • Clang 3.9.1 or higher on x86_x64
