Is there a way to verify digital signatures on email messages retrieved from gmail over Imap? The signed messages appear to have smime.p7m file attachment.

There is CheckSignature() method, but I will confirm this from the development team and will inform you later. Could you please post a sample message with digital signature in EML or MSG format?
The issues you have found earlier (filed as 31955 ) have been fixed in this update.
