If a PDF file contains malicious data, would the process of converting the PDF file to an image trigger the malicious content to fire, would the conversion fail, or would the malicious content be stripped out of the resulting image file?

Frankly speaking, we have not yet tested the scenario of converting PDF files containing Virus/malicious data/objects to Image format. However you may try using the latest release of Aspose.Pdf for .NET 9.2.0 and try converting the PDF file to Image format by following the instructions specified over Convert PDF pages to JPEG images
Also please note that Aspose.Pdf for .NET does not support the feature to remove malicious objects from PDF file. The request has been logged in our issue tracking system as PDFNEWNET-36840 under New features list. We will further look into the details of this

We started investigating the feature requested earlier to remove malicious script/data from PDF file but in order for us to deeply understand this requirement, we request you to please share the sample PDF files so that we can further investigate this requirement in details.
