Visual Studio 2017/2019 workaround of previewing reports bug

Visual Studio 2017/2019 doesn’t work in preview mode with Microsoft Reporting Services Projects starting from VSIX 2.6.2 version. The bug cannot be fixed and affects all the libraries with Custom Report Items.

There are two ways to preview reports in Visual Studio 2017/2019:

  1. Design report in Visual Studio 2017/2019 and deploy them to Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) server.

  2. Use VSIX 2.6.1 and Aspose.BarCode for Reporting Services 20.4
