Is there a good reason for that? I am looking for a java product that can do mail merges in Word document templates, but I need also the images functionality during mail merges. Do you think that I can do this using Aspose.Words?

Aspose.Words for Java is currently slightly behind Aspose.Words in terms of functionality but it will make up eventually.
Adding full support for images to Aspose.Words for Java is our priority. We estimate it to be implemented in 2 or 3 months.
