This solution have issues when OS doesnnot have Windings 2
e.g., when Operating System is Windows Server 2019 which does not have font "Wingdings 2” (which is ultimately used to draw check boxes using uni code numbers you mentioned )
Yes, you are right. If fonts are not installed on your system, the output document will not look correct. Please installed the required font to achieve your requirement.
