Hi,
We are a Canadian software solution company evaluating aspose total and considering purchase and licensing.
However I have 2 questions.
In our cover page we have a one full page image and there are texts layer such as client name, company, addresses on top of the image. While generating word document using aspose, It cannot render the texts. Is there any work around
This happens also in our donut chart. We have text elements inside the ring and those are also not visible. I found this text under the image after delete that.
Look forward to hearing you soon.
Thanking you.
Asif

To ensure a timely and accurate response, please attach the following resources here for testing:
- Your input Word document.
- Please attach the output PDF file that shows the undesired behavior.
- Please attach the expected output PDF file that shows the desired behavior.
- Please create a standalone console application ( source code without compilation errors ) that helps us to reproduce your problem on our end and attach it here for testing.
As soon as you get these pieces of information ready, we will start investigation into your issue and provide you more information. Thanks for your cooperation.
PS: To attach these resources, please zip and upload them.
Hi Tahir,
Thanks for your response.
By the way, this happens when we embed aspose code in java file to generate jasper report. Sorry not to mention that.
aspose code to generate word file from jasper print.
AWDocExporter exporter = new AWDocExporter();
exporter.setParameter(JRExporterParameter.JASPER_PRINT, jasperPrint);
exporter.setParameter(JRExporterParameter.OUTPUT_FILE_NAME, destFile.toString());
exporter.exportReport();

In addition, I would like to add that We have tried to use the image as a background image, but, in the generation time, aspose water mark background takes over that image. If it works we are ready to modify our jrxml file.
Thanks.
@asif.iqbal.planplus.com
Thanks for sharing the detail. Could you please share your .jrprint file to reproduce this issue at our end? Please also share your expected output document. We will investigate the issue and provide you more information on it.
Hi,
I don’t have .jprint file. But I have attached .jrxml and .jasper file. Since, .jasper and .jrxml are no allowed to upload, I have added .pdf extension. After you download just remove the extension .pdf.
Also out.pdf file is attached as well.
In fact .pdf files previously attached are the expected output.
Hope this helps.ProFilerReport_cover.jasper.pdf (27.2 KB)
ProFilerReport_cover.jrxml.pdf (5.8 KB)
cover1.jpg (360.1 KB)
image-text.pdf (1.8 MB)
Thanks.
@asif.iqbal.planplus.com
We are checking your .jrxml and will get back to you soon.
@asif.iqbal.planplus.com
We need the data source of JRXML to export it to DOCX/PDF. Please create a simple Java application ( source code without compilation errors ) that helps us to reproduce your problem on our end and attach it here for testing.
You may export your .jrxml to .jrprint file and attach it here for testing. We will then use your .jrprint file for testing.
Thanks for your cooperation.
PS: To attach these resources, please zip and upload them.
Hi,
There you go. I have attached the .jprint file. If you import you can see

Unfortunately, we are facing the following exception while exporting .jrprint to DOCX.
Exception in thread “main” java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError
_ at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.util.JRStyledTextParser.(JRStyledTextParser.java:86)_
Could you please share the JasperReport version and operating system that you are using for further testing?
It would be great if you please create a simple Java application ( source code without compilation errors ) that helps us to reproduce your problem on our end.
Thanks for your cooperation.
Interesting I can generate document using aspose code from the same jprint.
Quick update of version.
Jasper report - 6.8
aspose total - 19.1
OS- macOS
Soon, I will provide source code.
Thanks.
@asif.iqbal.planplus.com
Please try the latest version of Aspose.Words for JasperReports 19.7. If you still face problem, please ZIP and attach your problematic output documents. Thanks for your cooperation.
Thanks. I will try. However, we want aspose total.
Hi Tahir,
Sorry for the delay. I had some urgent work. Below is the link where you can download the Java eclipse project. Inside report folder, you will find the expected output in pdf file. I also have a test.doc generated from aspose. You will find texts are missing.
This is google drive link where you can download my eclipse project. You just need to import the project.

Let me know if you have any problem accessing the link and download.
If we really make it work, my VP would like to proceed with pricing next week.
Thanks.
