Does Aspose Cells support World Region Charts as shown in the screenshot? By support I mean; can it read an xlsx file with such a chart defined and convert that sheet to an image?

Please try our latest version/fix: Aspose.Cells for .NET v19.11.x. If you still find any issue, provide your template file and sample code to show the issue, we will check it soon.
Will latest version make any difference? I’m using 18.7.2. I have submitted paperwork to renew it but my Legal team is questioning T&Cs so this will take some time to resolve. I have attached my xlsx file, are you able to try it on the latest and let me know? worldRegion (002).zip (3.6 MB)

Thank you for the sample file. I am afraid that rendering the maps feature is not supported yet and there is no plan to provide its support in the near future. I am linking the new feature request ticket with this thread. You will be automatically notified once any update is available in this regard.
