Wrong value of 'align' in HTML output of excel

Hello,

I am using aspose.cells v17.1.4 to generate HTML output of the attached excel document.

In the Excel file, the content in range B2:F21 is center-aligned. If you will open the HTML output in Notepad, the value of align attribute for that content is “right”. The value of align should be center.

Can you please look into this.

Thanks,
Neha

Hi,

Thanks for your posting and using Aspose.Cells.

We do not find any issue as you have described. If you manually save your workbook into html using MS-Excel, you will see, there is no align attribute at all. Aspose.Cells generates align attribute, but your output html is still correct, because when you open the output html in browsers like FireFox, Chrome etc. the output matches exactly with source excel file.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

We understand that when we save the workbook into html using MS-Excel, there is no align attribute however, align attribute is added by Aspose.Cells.

Since we consume the html generated by Aspose, we rely on the value of the align attribute for data alignment since the time we have been using Aspose. In our workflow, the given HTML is never rendered in browser. We transform the HTML to our own table structure. So the value populated by Aspose needs to be correct.

Why it is working fine in browser is - because browser uses css styles applied on it and hence the difference.

Kindly treat this as a bug and populate its value correctly.

Thanks,
Neha
