Hi,
Thanks for posting your issue and considering Aspose.Cells for Java.
We have logged this issue in our database. We will look into this issue and fix the problems and provide you update asap.
This issue has been logged as CELLSJAVA-40089.
Hi,
1. Saving chart for ods file is not supported in the V7.x versions currently. We are working on R/W charts for ods file now and reading charts has been supported from V7.0.4. We will continue to work on saving charts to ods file and improving reading charts from ods file. We will try to support saving charts for ods file in the first quarter of 2012.
2. We have found some issues of lost number format for R/W ods files. We have recorded it as CELLSJAVA-40089 and will try to fix those issues asap. However, it is very possible that what we found is not the same issue with what you got in your case. So, it will be much better if you can provide us some template files and point out those issues you got so that we can fix them at first for you.
3. All units such as cm, in, pt…etc. are available for ods file. In old versions we use “pt” as common unit for saving ods files. In new versions we use “in” for saving ods files instead. The size of “0.17708333333333334in” is just same with size of “12.75pt”.
Hi Aspose Team,
Hi,
Thanks for your files.
We have logged them in our database. We will look into them and get back to you asap.
Hi,
Hi,
For the issue of number format, we are still working on it and will try to provide a fix in two weeks.
For the compatibility issues of ods file, we can only fix those of ods file generated by new version of aspose.cells with openoffice, such as the ods file cannot be opened by openoffice, some values are shown incorrectly in openoffice, and so on.
For the differences between old versions and new versions, such as size unit, id(name) of components(such as charts, shapes, styles and so on), all are valid and follow ods file’s specification for both old and new versions. Even when you create an ods file with openoffice, it may save size with different unit in different environments. We are afraid we cannot help for that.
Hi,
We have improved the output for ods files. Please try this new fix: Aspose.Cells for Java v7.0.4.7
The issues you have found earlier (filed as CELLSJAVA-40089) have been fixed in this update.
