Barcode Failing To Preview In Visual Studio

Imran.
This issue has been outstanding for well over a year now and I have received no update in over 3 months. How can you deem this level of support to be acceptable? Whilst this issue is outstanding, we are having to run two separate reporting servers to work around the issue. Please explain why after 3 months, I am still yet to receive an update on the matter.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for raising your concern. Please note that the reported issue is among the highest priority queue under normal support level. Our development team is also busy in resolving other high level priority issues. However, we have intimated them again to look into the matter. We’re in communication with our development team and will let you know immediately once the latest update is available to us. We really appreciate your cooperation.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for being patient. We have a good news for you that the issue id BARCODREP-33164 has now been resolved. If there is no issue in the QA phase, then this fix will be included in the next version of Aspose.Diagram for Reporting Services 6.7.0. Its release date is not final yet. We’ll inform you via this forum thread as soon as the new release is published.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as BARCODREP-33164) have been fixed in this update.

Hi.
I have replaced the dll files with the new ones and re-added the control to the toolbox but I am still getting the same error. Do I need to do anything else? Thanks.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for the inquiry. For Microsoft SQL Server 2012, we have provided two assemblies. First “Design Version” works only with designers (Visual Studio or BIDS). It is located in the Bin\SSRS2012\DesignVersion directory. Second “Run Time Version” works only with Report Server. It is located in the Bin\SSRS2012\RunTimeVersion directory.

So please, copy Bin\SSRS2012\RunTimeVersion<b>Aspose.BarCode.ReportingServices.dll to the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server<Instance>\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin folder and copy Bin\SSRS2012\DesignVersion<b>Aspose.BarCode.ReportingServices.dll to the PrivateAssemblies folder of your IDE. Furthermore, I have tested using the virtual machine, which we prepared earlier to investigate your scenario. Barcodes are now visible on the report server.

We hope, this helps. Please feel free to reply us in case of any confusion or questions.

Hi Imran. These are the steps that I have already taken. I also removed the control from the toolbox and re added it. I am still getting the same error. Would it be possible to arrange another Team Viewer session? Thanks.

Hi Steve,

Sure, please invoke chat session around 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM GMT+5:00 during the working days. In case these time hours are not feasible for you, then please share time and day, I’ll keep myself available.

Hi Imran. Thanks for your help, I have a couple of questions. Firstly, can you advise what the issue was, for future reference. Secondly, the barcode is showing the Aspose watermark due to the expired licence. Would it be possible to be granted an extension on the licence? The licence has remained unused for over 12 months whilst we waited for a solution. Thanks.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your inquiry. I removed barcode control from the tool box, and then added again. I suspect barcode control was not added properly. It was not under “General” tab. I also removed old binaries and placed them again as described in my earlier post there. We have forward your request to extend the license. We’re also in communication and will get back to you soon.

Hi Steve,

We have arranged a complimentary renewal for your subscription and you will receive the new licence in a separate email shortly. The new order ID is 150105081857 and it will run for one year from today.

Kind regards,

George.

Thanks George
