What’s the status for adding the ability to generate 508 compliant PDFs (for the Java Library)? The below posts all discuss the issue but none seem to provide a status as of this year:
testfile.pdf (83.1 KB)
We are using Aspose 17.10.x and the generated PDF should be 508 compliant. To be precise, when I view the PDF using Acrobat Pro DC/Reader and use “Accessibility” check feature of PDF, it should not list error like “Tageed Content - Failed” , “Tab order - Failed”, “Tagged form fields - Failed”,“Fields description failed” etc.
Let us know which can be fixed which cannot.
I’m interested in the Aspose.PDF for Reporting Services product and therefore have a few questions.
Can this product be used to export Local Reports (RDLC) to pdf that are 508 compliant or in the PDF/UA format?
If I add tooltips to images in the RDLC file will they be added as alt text in the pdf?
Does this product work with in Local Mode with Microsoft Report Viewer version 14? (Visual Studio 2015).
To what extent does Aspose PDF support accessibility(508 compliance)? In regards to the same question, to what extent is tagging possible?
Since the conclusion to this topic is unclear and really old, wanted a confirmation.
