Installing Aspose.Total for Reporting Services failed install

Any status on the license files?

Hi Neale,

Thanks for your inquiry. We are in communication with our development team about your query and will get back to you as soon as possible.

After 4 days, this is the best status I can get? Come on, I have projects that are on hold due to the state of your product.

Hi Neale,

Please accept my apologies for your inconvenience.
nealethomas:
Only problem now is that objects created with either words or cells, now report evaluation license. I re-copied the license files to the documented location and restarted the service, but same outcom.

Please advise if you need me to upload the license keys to you for validation.
Please make sure that you have put the license file to the folder that contains Aspose.Words.ReportingServices.dll.

Could you please send your license file again to us? In order to post your license file to us please follow the instructions provided in the following link:

Are you facing the same license issue with Aspose.Slides for Reporting Services as well? Please share this detail here for our reference. I will really appreciate your cooperation for this.

Hi Neale,

Sorry - I am still trying to reproduce the issue with the license.

I did not see evaluation errors on my local environment with your licenses, so I am installing now exactly the same environment as on your side in order to reproduce the issue.

I will be sharing the status every day from now on.

In the meantime, could you please remove temporarily all the licenses except Total one and try to run Aspose.Words for Reporting Services?

Thanks and regards,
Vadim

I sense progress!!!! the installation routines all worked following uninstall and reinstall using the following commands:

MSIEXEC /i Aspose.Words.ReportingServices.msi ALLUSERS=2
MSIEXEC /i Aspose.BarCode.ReportingServices.msi ALLUSERS=2
MSIEXEC /i Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices.msi ALLUSERS=2
MSIEXEC /i Aspose.Pdf.ReportingServices.msi ALLUSERS=2
MSIEXEC /i Aspose.Slides.SSRS.msi ALLUSERS=2

Only problem now is that objects created with either words or cells, now report evaluation license. I re-copied the license files to the documented location and restarted the service, but same outcom.

Have attached screen shots of the evaluation message in each application.

Please advise if you need me to upload the license keys to you for validation.

Thank-you,

Neale.

Hi Neale,

Thanks for your posting and using Aspose.Total for Reporting Services.

I want to address your issue regarding Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services. Please download and try the latest version V1.9.0.71 for SSRS2008R2.

Please copy Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices.dll into following folder :

${SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services}\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin.

If Evaluation Warning still exists, please send your license file by following the steps mentioned in this article.

Thank-you for your response. I have sent you the 2 requested license files, but am also attaching a zip file with the results of the requested testing and have also included the rsreportserver.config and web.config file for your convenience...

Thank-you,

Neale.

Hi Neale,

I will assist your for issue regarding generated presentation using Aspose.Slides for Reporting Services. We have released Aspose.Slides for Reporting Services 4.11.0 today. Please uninstall the version of Aspose.Slides that you are using and try using the latest dll on your end by following the manual installation options.

Please share your kind feedback so that I may try further to help you out.

Many Thanks,

Hi Neale,

Thank you for additional info. I have passed through it and got an idea about license file name:
>Aspose.Total.Product.Family.lic outcomes

Could you please temporarily rename that license file:
from "Aspose.Total.Product.Family.lic"
to "Aspose.Total Product Family.lic"
that is - replace 2 dots with 2 spaces, and then restart SSRS and check your reports generation.

Thanks and regards,
Vadim

Vlad, thank-you for the check…it appears that was a type when creating the reply. Have confirmed that the license file name has all the correct periods in the naming structure…

Have installed the new version of reporting services 4.11. Tested various license file configurations and have attached the document. The problem with word recognizing the license persists.

Please advise.

Hi Neale,

>Have confirmed that the license file name has all the correct periods in the naming structure..
So, just to be sure, the file name on disk is "Aspose.Total Product Family.lic" (with spaces), correct?

Why I am asking - I tried to run reports on fresh newly configured Win2003SP2/SQL2008 with those license file from your e-mail ("Aspose.Total.Product.Family.lic", no spaces) and I've got "Evaluation error". Then I renamed license file to "Aspose.Total Product Family.lic" and there were no more "Evaluation error". So I would like to just double check that file name is correct.

Thanks and regards,
Vadim

Vadim, sorry for the incorrect name in the earlier post...

YOU ARE A GENIUS!!! I renamed the license file as requested and now all feature are working properly...

We are now operational. Thank-you.

Sincerely,

Neale.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as SLIDESREP-33381) have been fixed in this update.

Hi Neale,

Excellent! You are always welcome!

Thanks and regards,
Vadim

Arrghh, now the next phase...

After successfully configuring the first of 4 servers, moved onto 2 other (non-production) servers and ended up with the same results, CELLS is not recognizing the license file.

Have attached a detailed document of the issue and the steps to reproduce...

So close, soooo close..

Neale.

Hi ,

Thanks for using Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services.

Did you copy the fixed Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices.dll (V1.9.0.71 for SSRS2008R2) into SSRSInstance\bin?

Please download and try the latest version V1.9.0.71 for SSRS2008R2.

Thank-you, that did the trick. I've turned the systems over to our application owners to complete feature validation...with any luck, this is my last post :-)

Hi Neale,

Thanks for your feedback and using Aspose.

It is good to know that your issue is resolved now. Let us know if you encounter any other issue, we will be glad to help you further.

Thank-you to you and your team's support through this effort. One question, how soon will the modified slides dll is incorporated into the current msi for installation? Currently having to manually copy and upgrade all locations where the current MSI installs the older file.

Neale.
