SharePoint Aspose words issue even after deploying the license file shows the trial warning

Dear Aspose Team

We deployed the ASPOSE.Words for sharepoint but we still get the trial warning error message and also the images are coming as X sign after deploying the license .wsp package.

Please advise as we are stuck with this issue.

Thanks,

Atul

Hi Atul,

Thanks for your inquiry and sorry for the delayed response. Please make sure you properly applied the license by following the steps mentioned in the following link:
http://www.aspose.com/docs/display/wordssharepoint/Installing+Aspose.Words+for+SharePoint+License

Atul:
also the images are coming as X sign after deploying the license .wsp package.
Are the images displaying as X sign after converting document to some other format? Could you please clarify your use case?

Best Regards,

Hi Awais

I have already deployed the .wsp package so many times using STSADM and powershell both.

I am not sure if we can have a screen share session and I can show you the exact problem.

Appreciate your kind help as we have to launch this in production this week.

The images X when converting to pdf

Hi Atul,

Thanks for the additional information.

Please post your license file via mail to us. I will investigate the issue on my side and provide you more information. Moreover, in order to post your license file to us please follow the instructions provided in the following link:
http://www.aspose.com/corporate/purchase/faqs/send-license-to-aspose-staff.aspx

Moreover, could you please also attach your input Word document, you're getting image problem during rendering to PDF, here for testing?

Best Regards,

Hi Atul,

Thanks for sharing your license via email. I apologise for the delay.

The SharePoint license solution file you attached is faulty. It throws an exception message on my side saying “An exception occured when trying to set the license from the file Aspose.Words Product Family.lic. The message was: The subscription included in this license allows free upgrades until 26 Mar 2011, but this version of the product was released on 03 May 2012. Please renew the subscription or use a previous version of the product.”. Most likely, this problem occurs because your license has expired. That’s why you still see the evaluation message in your documents.

I think you have to contact sales team who sent you the faulty file and inform them of the problem. They will provide a replacement.

You will need to uninstall the faulty license solution package and install the correct one.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Moreover, I am afraid, I did not receive your input Word document via email. Could you please re-send your input Word document for testing?

Best Regards,

We got the updated license file, Thanks it worked. But still the issue of X red mark is there.

I have sent you 3 files

--the original mail merge document template

--the converted word file

--the converted pdf file which has issues with red X icons showing up instead of the images.

Greatly appreciate your help.

Hi Atul,

Thank you for sharing your documents via email.

First of all, it is perfect that you managed to resolve the licensing issue on your side.
Atul:
also the images are coming as X sign after deploying the license .wsp package.
I managed to reproduce this issue on my side. I have logged this issue in our bug tracking system. The issue ID is WORDSNET-6557. Your request has been linked to this issue and you will be notified as soon as it is resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best Regards,

Hi Awais

We have the .NET version and it has the same issue. SharePoint Aspose didnt work for us.

Do you have any updates for us on the PDF conversion issue. I had advised my client to go with Aspose based on the feature of PDF your product was providing.

Now the licenses have been purchased and the PDF Conversion doesn't work and shows X signs for images.

Do you have a timeline when this will be fixed ?

We have to move to production in next few days.

Appreciate your prompt response.

Hi Atul,

Thanks for the additional information and your inquiry.

We are aware of this issue being reproducible with Aspose.Words for .NET as well. I have verified the status of this issue (WORDSNET-6557) from our issue tracking system and regret to share that this issue is still unresolved. But, the good news is that the responsible developer has completed the analysis of this issue. The root cause has been identified. Currently, it is pending for development. Unfortunately, at the moment I cannot provide you any reliable estimate regarding the fix. We will inform you via this forum thread as soon as your issue is resolved.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

Best Regards,

Hi Awais,

We purchased ASPOSE. net for words for specifically PDF conversion functionality.

This is a very basic functionality and has been advertised in your product and I am shocked to see this not working, I am not sure if the other clients too are disappointed that PDF conversion for images does not work !

I bet your team should work aggresively to fix this issue which is a Show Stopper to your clients using this product.

Keep me posted. Thanks !

Hi
Atul,

Thanks for the additional information. We understand that this issue is important to you and it is unfortunate that the issue has not been fixed yet. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Normally, when an issue is reported by a customer, it is added to the pool of current issues being worked on by our developers and is analysed in a timely manner. However, due to the nature of some bugs and the number of features we are working on, this doesn’t always mean we can fix every bug within a short time after it’s reported.

In your case, I have asked the development team to provide the ETA for the fix and they will try to include it into the next release; but, this estimate is not final at the moment. Rest assured, I will keep you informed of any developments.

I apologise once again for the inconvenience.

Best Regards,

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-6557) have been fixed in this .NET update and this Java update.
