Hello,
This is my company account and I have posted a few private topics. But since I’m leaving the company I want my coworker(s) to track the changes to these topics. Is it possible to somehow transfer the “rights” to other user here in the forum, so the trackability to remain untacked
Sorry if the topic is not in the right category, feel free to move it is it is not.
Regards,
Yulian
@yulian.dimitrov,
You can change your private topic to “public” so coworkers can access the threads and follow up as needed. To do this, edit the first post of each thread and uncheck the “Private Topic” box to make it public. Once updated, all users will be able to view, edit, reply, and manage attachments (upload/download) within the topics.
Hello amjad.sahi
Thanks for your swift answer.
The topics contains files (pdf documents) that are taken from our customer and may contain confidential data that we are not allowed to share publicly. Otherwise I would do the same as you suggested. Is there another way doing this?
Regards,
Yulian
@yulian.dimitrov,
Apparently, it seems not possible to transfer private topics to other users. Anyways, our Discourse (forum) team will evaluate if we can transfer private topics posted by a user to some specific (other) users, so that the topics would remain private but only accessible to the assigned users. Once we have an update on it, we will let you know here.
@yulian.dimitrov,
You are welcome. We will keep you posted with updates once available on it.
@yulian.dimitrov,
Please provide the topic details and thread URLs of the private topics you wish to transfer to your coworkers. Additionally, include the email addresses of the coworkers to whom you want to transfer these topics.
@yulian.dimitrov,
Thank you for sharing the list of (private) topics and user emails. We’ve recorded this information in our internal ticketing system and anticipate it will be reviewed soon.
