Barcode Failing To Preview In Visual Studio

Imran. I’m not familiar with the process. Is there a free software tool I can use to do this?

Hi Steve,

Thank you for asking about the process. Please follow up these steps:

  1. Download Oracle VM VirtualBox. It is free for personal use.
  2. Once VirtualBox is installed, launch it. In this regard, please see this video.
  3. Hit “New” button on left upper corner.
  4. It will ask you to give your system a name.
  5. Enter a system name, select operating system and version.
  6. Hit “Next” button and adjust base memory (RAM) size.
  7. Select “create new hard disk” option.
  8. Hit “Next” button and select file format e.g. VHD
  9. Select storage details, Hit “Next” button
  10. Adjust storage size
  11. Hit “Next” button and see final details
  12. Hit “Create” button, please see this video.

Furthermore, when you’ll start this system, you will be asked to select installation media, e.g. ISO or CD of guest operating system. You just need to prepare an environment as usual, make sure to reproduce the issue on your end and then upload your VM on some online file sharing server e.g. Dropbox and let us know.
I hope, this helps. Please do let us know in case of any confusion or questions.

Imran. Apologies but I have misunderstood. I thought that this entailed copying an image of my current setup. Unfortunately, this isn’t something I can do, as our server is hosted at a datacentre and I don’t have installation media or license keys for either the operating system or SQL Server. Is it possible for you to inspect the environment via Team Viewer or another RDP tool? Thanks. Steve.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the information. Sure, we can now plan a session via the Team Viewer. Please do let us know your suitable timings covering time zone too. Meanwhile, I’ll install Team Viewer on my side.

Hi Imran. Apologies for the delay, I have been away from the office. The best time would be 01:00 GMT, however, any time could be ok as long as I know in advance when you will be connecting. Do you have an email address, as I don’t wish to post the team viewer id / password online. Thanks. Steve

Hi Steve,

Thank you for the information. You can send a file or some other stuff by following these steps:
https://forum.aspose.com/t/how-to-send-license-file-to-support-team/225542

In parallel, we can discuss the matter over live chat session. Its option is available on the Aspose site. You can catch me around 2:00PM to 8:00 PM GMT+5:00. It is not for today. Please confirm the day so that I would keep myself present on the live chat.

Hi Imran. I have forwarded the details by email, please advise if you haven’t received them. Thanks, Steve.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for sending the details. I’m afraid. I did not receive the email posted by you. Anyway, we’ll communicate through the Bankle Live Chat session as per schedule. We really appreciate your cooperation.

Hi Imran. I started the web chat at 14:00 but was told that you were unavailable. Your colleague Ijaz reproduced the error and said that he will look again today. Ijaz has the team viewer details if you need access to my system. Thanks, Steve.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for the information. Yes, I’m already in communication with my colleague Ijaz. I got the require information from him.

Hi Steve,

Aspose.Barcode was not properly configured on your system. I have configured it again and now you can see the barcode in preview mode without any issue. Just log on and check your system.

Please feel free to contact us in case you have further comments or questions.

Best Regards,

Hi Muhammad,
Apologies for the slow response, I have been away from the office. I can confirm that Aspose is now working. For future reference, could you confirm what specifically was causing the issues. Thanks,
Steve

Hi,
Although the preview is now working, I am still having issues. When I deploy a report to a report server, the barcode does not render on the report. Please advise. Thanks.
Steve

Hi Steve,

Thank you for the confirmation. My colleague has stated in his post that he configured it again and can see barcode in the preview mode. These manual installation steps are documented here:
http://www.aspose.com/docs/display/barcodereportingservices/Install+Aspose.BarCode+for+Reporting+Services

If you are now facing the same problem when deploying the report then please reconfigure the following steps once on your side: http://www.aspose.com/docs/display/barcodereportingservices/Install+Manually

These steps are related to the report server. In case the problem persists, please do let us know we’ll further look into the matter through the team viewer.

We’re looking forward to help you.

Hi Imran,

I can confirm that the license and dll files are located in the bin folder. I cannot find any problem with the config files. I have attached the config files, can you check these and advise whether they are ok? Thanks.

Steve

Hi Steve,

Can we access your machine using the same credentials?

Best Regards,

Yes, no problem.

Hi Steve,

Please accept our apologies for the delay. We are working over your query and shall get back to you shortly.

Hi Imran. Please remember that this is a live production server that you are accessing. I had to log on last night out side of office hours because the reporting service had been stopped. Also, since yesterday’s team viewer session, our report server is no longer rendering graphs in the reports. Can you please revert any changes you made to the rsconfig files please? Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Can you please invoke a live chat session through the option available on the Aspose site?
